Here’s what you can expect in your role:
Role Summary
The Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Scarbrough site’s health, and safety programs while coordinating environment and sustainability initiatives aligned with Jamiesons’ Sustainability strategy. This position balances safety operations and regulatory compliance with sustainability data coordination, engagement, and implementation support. Approximately 75% of the role focuses on safety program support, with 25% dedicated to sustainability coordination across value-chain activities.

Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Coordination (75%)
- Support implementation and ongoing management of HS programs, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
- Onboard and deliver safety training for employees and contractors, track training compliance and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in incident reporting, investigation, documentation, and corrective action tracking in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments, documenting and communicating findings responsibly.
- Maintain accurate records, safety documentation, and reporting required for compliance and internal reporting and be proficient and active with Jamieson safety and SDS software.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response planning. Manage and lead tabletop exercises.
- Act as a point of contact on safety matters, promoting safe behaviors and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support office-based safety inspections, fire preparedness, and JHSC meetings in the GTA.
- Support WSIB excellence and ISO 45001 programs.
Environmental & Sustainability Coordination (25%)
- Coordinate and support implementation of sustainability initiatives tied to Jamieson’s environmental pillars: Climate, Circularity, and Biodiversity (e.g., packaging circularity, waste diversion, resource tracking).
- Collect and manage sustainability data and metrics; prepare reports for internal stakeholders and support external reporting requirements.
- Assist with sustainability program planning and execution, including cross-functional collaboration with operations, quality, procurement, and facilities.
- Support communication and engagement activities to raise awareness and drive participation in sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor relevant regulatory changes or developments related to sustainability and the environment.
- Support relationships with external vendors and partners related to recycling, waste management, and sustainability service delivery.
What You Bring
You're a mix of curious, collaborative, and purpose-driven — and ready to grow in a team that lives its values.
Your experience and perspective might include:
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of professional experience in HS support or sustainability coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or consumer products environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental or sustainability frameworks.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage data accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Jamieson Wellness Inc. offers a competitive total rewards package that goes beyond base pay, including eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth.
For this role, the posting range is $38,990 - $66,840, which reflects the full salary range of the position. The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, level of education, and other professional qualifications aligned with the requirements and complexity of this position.
