Position Summary
The Banquet Porter is responsible for the physical setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet and event spaces. This role ensures all rooms are prepared according to Banquet Event Orders and company standards, supporting seamless execution of weddings, corporate functions, and social events.
The Banquet Porter plays a critical role in operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and event flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Setup
- Set up banquet rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Arrange tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, linens, podiums, and décor
- Ensure proper placement and alignment per floor plans
- Install and remove of specialty equipment
- Assist with outdoor event setup when required
Event Support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces during functions
- Replenish water stations and assist with room resets if needed
- Respond promptly to last-minute layout adjustments
- Support service staff with clearing and resetting as required
- Ensure compliance with safety and fire regulations
Event Breakdown
- Tear down events efficiently and safely
- Remove linens, tables, chairs, and equipment
- Return all items to designated storage areas
- Ensure event spaces are clean and ready for next function
Equipment & Inventory
- Maintain banquet equipment in good working condition
- Report damaged or missing items to management
- Assist with inventory organization and storage
- Follow proper lifting and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Previous banquet or hospitality experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 44 per week
