Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. This role involves treating speech, language, and communication disorders across diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care settings and pediatrics, with a strong understanding of medical terminology. Duties
- Implement individualized treatment and strategies tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills and swallowing abilities in both pediatric and adult patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, as well as home exercises for continued improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Portuguese from Brazil.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)in Brazil.
- Experience working in acute care environments is preferred.
- Prior experience with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy and healthcare settings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
