Job Description
Consolidated Gypsum Supply Ltd. distributes building supply materials. We operate six branches in Alberta and Saskatchewan. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in Red Deer.Warehouse Material Handlers are responsible for assembling orders for customers and delivery units. Responsibilities also include sorting, counting, and organizing materials in the warehouses and outdoor storage yard in all weather conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Load, unload building materials
Conduct inspections, paperwork, cycle counting
Place building materials into designated warehouse/yard positions
Pick/assemble customer/delivery orders
Operate mid to large size sit-down counterbalance propane forklift trucks (Hyster 60 and 120)
Serve "Pick Up" Customers
Load and unload trucks
Perform warehouse housekeeping duties
Take photos of incoming deliveries and customer pick-ups
REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience working in a warehouse
Previous experience operating Hyster 60 and 120 forklifts
Able to repeatedly lift over 75 lbs
Able to regularly stand, bend, lift and move repeatedly during shifts
Strong English written and verbal communication skills
Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Satisfactory criminal record check
Ability to work in all weather conditions year round
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Full-time, year-round employment
No Sundays
Physically challenging work (lifting building materials including drywall, roofing supplies and insulation)
Includes both indoor and outdoor yard work in all types of weather

$23.75/hr - $26 starting wage depending on experience
