We are looking for a Technical VFD Sales Specialist – Calgary, AB


Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, a successful candidate will possess the following skills:



  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

What We Expect?



  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation, or a related technical field.

  • Proven experience as a Technical Sales Specialist.

  • Knowledge of AC & DC variable frequency drives, drives integration applications, motors and electrical systems.

  • Experience selling premium-priced products & solutions.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce is an asset).

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the region, including occasional overnight travel.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Roles and Responsibilities:



  • Represent SFC Energy Ltd.’s Drives & Motor Control offerings, enhancing customer satisfaction and driving new business opportunities across our solution portfolio.

  • Collaborate effectively with Management, Sales, Technical Services, and Service teams.

  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand existing ones.

  • Provide efficient sales support to the Sales and Marketing teams.

  • Utilize CRM tools to generate detailed sales reports on customer projects and quotations.

  • Partner with the Drives & Motor Control Group to prepare accurate, clear, and concise proposals.

  • Respond to customer technical and commercial inquiries.

  • Follow up on Sales and Marketing leads and provide regular updates to Regional Sales Managers or Managing Directors.

  • Support the Sales and Marketing teams through customer interactions, creating quotes, processing orders, project management, and strategic account planning.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, offering in-depth technical expertise and solutions on product specification, setup, installation, operation, and application of power products; promotion of SFC Energy’s Drives & Motor Control products and services through customer training and product demonstrations.
