Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Own the delivery of high-quality landscape maintenance services by leading a crew, managing site quality, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the development of team members. The Crew Lead sets the pace, tone, and standards for their route while ensuring efficiency and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in all landscape maintenance tasks: mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, edging, mulching, planting, seasonal clean-ups;
  • Set job site priorities and pace for the crew to meet daily targets;
  • Load and unload tools, ensure proper equipment handling and care;
  • Conduct pre-start checks and safety briefings each morning; and
  • Maintain clean, safe, and professional sites that meet or exceed quality standards.

Accountability & Team Contribution

  • Direct and support crew members in task execution and time management;
  • Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and feedback to Apprentices;
  • Monitor work quality and resolve site-level issues on the spot;
  • Communicate proactively with the Crew Supervisor regarding challenges, material needs, or client requests; and
  • Complete daily job reports, timesheets, and incident logs using company systems (e.g., LMN Crew, CRM tools, WhatsApp).

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Daily route completion (100% task coverage per site);
  • Site quality audits meet or exceed target score (e.g., 90%+);
  • Equipment and vehicle accountability (minimal loss or damage);
  • Apprentice/Technician growth and feedback; and
  • Client satisfaction (no unresolved complaints; positive feedback tracked).

Tools & Resources Provided

  • Company truck and trailer (where applicable);
  • Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and weekly operations meetings;
  • Support from supervisors for escalations and logistics; and
  • Optional: leadership development and operations training modules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$31.06 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Work Location: On the road
