Why You'll Love This Role:

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you won't just be filling a role; you will play a vital role in supporting our operations team, ensuring equipment receives proper servicing and is repaired promptly. You'll enjoy a mix of working on the heavy equipment and trucks and trailers. 

Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose & Troubleshoot: Identify faults and malfunctions in yellow iron, stationary, and other equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment in top shape, adhering to company standards.
  • Accurate Work Orders: Complete and document work orders accurately and promptly to maintain operational flow.
  • Maintain Software: Ensure maintenance software is up to date for effective tracking and management.
  • Testing & Performance: Test repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors for seamless operations.
  • Welding & Repairs: Utilize your welding skills and perform necessary repairs on trucks and trailers.
  • Housekeeping & Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and ensure our maintenance facility meets expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software is a plus.
