French March Break Camp Counsellor
Job Description
As a counselor, your position is the most important. You are a role model for the campers in your every action, spoken word, and the way you carry Le Petit Ecolier's torch of excellence. You will be engaging with the campers and building positive relationships with them through playing games, leading activities, and holding the kids to the same high expectations we hold ourselves to. We are about creating the ultimate environment where kids can just be kids, and we need great counselors to do that.
Responsibilities include:
- • Lead and supervise a small group of 6–10 campers in a structured, immersive French environment
- • Create a dynamic, engaging, and joyful camp experience in collaboration with fellow counsellors and the Camp Director
- • Deliver daily activities (games, crafts, themed projects, outdoor play) in alignment with the camp's weekly theme and French language objectives
- • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and well-managed environment at all times
- • Oversee daily camp set-up and end-of-day clean-up to maintain a polished and organized learning space
- • Foster confidence, teamwork, and positive behaviour through strong leadership and clear expectations
- • Communicate professionally with staff and model enthusiasm, responsibility, and integrity
- • Recognize that your role goes beyond supervision — you are shaping confidence, language growth, and unforgettable childhood memories
Position Qualifications:
- Perfectly Bilingual (French as a mother tongue )
- Love working with kids, and experience with kids/camps is preferred
- Must have reliable transportation
- Available Monday through Friday 40 hours per week
Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 1 week
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
