Job Type:Full-Time 40 hours per week including weekend on call rotation

Role:

In this role, you can expect to work alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing professional support while engaging in activities within the community.

  • Working on site to provide instruction and training to front line staff with instruction of Behavioural Support Plans and Behaviour Support Strategies
  • Working under the direction of the Clinical Manager and Director, Clinical Services as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Assisting in the collection, graphing, and interpretation of clinical data and oversight and assessment of skill acquisition programs
  • Responsible to become part of the Safe Management Training Team to support the use of Safe Management Interventions and Specialized Consults
  • Must be able to use a variety of teaching strategies based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis to encourage understanding of BSP's, BSSs, and SAP's.
  • Understands and can teach the concepts of Skill Acquisition Programs utilizing ABLS/AFLS assessments in collaboration with manager and clinical manager.
  • Collaboration with Managers, staff, and Consultants to obtain feedback on Behavioural Support Plans, Behaviour Support Strategies and plan for individual's transitions to the Community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or degree-granting institution and post graduate degree in Behavioural Sciences, Applied Disability Studies, or Psychology
  • 3 years' experience working in a treatment milieu utilizing the full continuum of therapeutic Interventions including intrusive measures
  • Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of Developmental Services Core Competencies
  • Valid Ontario Full G License and access to reliable transportation
  • Experience and/or knowledge in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Safe Management Techniques preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 18 months

Pay: From $65,249.00 per year
