Schedule: Part-time to Full-time (30–40 hours per week; event-based schedule including evenings/weekends as required)
Compensation: $22–$24 per hour (based on experience, technical ability, and design expertise)
Potential for Extension: Contract may be extended based on event bookings and seasonal growth.

Job Overview
We are hiring a skilled and creative Event Draping Specialist for the 2026 summer event season. This role requires someone who is not only technically strong with pipe and drape systems, but also highly capable of designing and executing a wide range of draping styles and fabric concepts.
Our events vary in scale and aesthetic — from elegant and romantic to modern and dramatic. We're looking for someone who can confidently create diverse draping designs that transform venues and bring unique event visions to life.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume season with multiple back-to-back events, so efficiency and excellent time management are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and dismantle pipe and drape systems
- Design and execute a variety of draping styles (pleated, gathered, layered, swagged, tented, structured, etc.)
- Create custom stage backdrops and full venue fabric transformations
- Interpret design concepts and translate them into polished fabric installations
- Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials
- Collaborate closely with the design team to execute creative direction
- Maintain clean lines, symmetry, and strong visual impact under tight timelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience with event draping and pipe & drape systems (required)
- Strong ability to create multiple draping designs and adapt to different event styles
- Solid understanding of fabric flow, tension, structure, and proportion
- Confident working at heights when required
- Efficient and organized in fast-paced installation environments
- Physically capable of lifting and handling large fabric installations
- Professional, dependable, and solution-oriented
