Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mechanical Technologist, based in Abbotsford, BC, with the flexibility to work partially from home. The Mechanical Technologist will be responsible for creating detailed designs using computer-aided design (CAD) tools, supporting mechanical engineering projects, troubleshooting design challenges, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure project efficiency. Additional responsibilities include designing piping systems, assisting in machinery and system analysis, and performing technical report writing to support engineering activities.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles and experience with Piping systems
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for technical drawings and design processes
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems and analyzing potential issues
- Basic understanding or experience in Machining processes
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field
- Previous experience in a consulting environment is considered an asset
