The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.** **Management Preferences:** * The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting for an energized and collaborative Electrical Supervisor to be a part of the Mountain Region Maintenance Team.* This position will have a duty station at the Mountain Region Maintenance Yard in Lenoir, NC.* The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and carry on the work to its completion.* The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the planning and supervision of trenching, conduit installations, wire pulling, installation and termination of cameras inside prison facilities and outside the institution’s perimeter as well.* Work assignments result from discussions or written instructions from a superior and are in terms of objectives to be accomplished. Blueprints may accompany large installation jobs; however, the employee is expected to plan, layout, draw complementary sketches, and monitor the work of subordinates.* Work is reviewed upon completion for adherence to established trade practices and safety standards and is further evaluated based on continued and efficient operation of repaired systems and installations.**Minimum Education and Experience**Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
