Director of Branding & General Manager
One of our clients is looking for a hands-on Director of Branding & GM for their sleepwear and lifestyle clothing brands.
As the Director you will own the full P&L, creative direction, and go-to-market roadmap across both brands — partnering directly with the founder and an experienced manufacturing team to unlock major growth potential.
What You'll Lead:
Brand & Product Strategy
* Own Spring/Fall product line planning for the brands
* Partner with design on silhouette, fabric, and color direction
* Shape positioning, assortment, and pricing strategy
* Make commercially sharp product decisions: what works, what sells, what elevates
Sales & Channel Growth
* Expand wholesale accounts (department stores, independents, online retailers)
* Scale Shopify and DTC performance marketing
* Optimize customer journey and retention
* Explore new retail formats: pop-ups, shop-in-shops, experiential
Team & Execution
* Lead a lean, multi-functional team across product, sales, and e-commerce
* Report directly to the Founder
* Track KPIs, performance vs. budget, and profitability
* Drive disciplined execution with entrepreneurial speed
Who You Are
* 7+ years in fashion, apparel, or lifestyle brand leadership
* Proven success in both wholesale *and* e-commerce
* Deep understanding of product development and merchandising cycles
* Not a designer — but a strong creative operator who understands how product drives brand
* Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and comfortable building in fast-paced environments
* Based in the GTA and ready to work on-site full-time in Markham
