Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Youth Worker (CYW) or Developmental Support Worker (DSW) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs. This role involves working in the community or home care settings with clients, focusing on enhancing the well-being and independence of clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Experience working independently and with a team for collaborative support with clients who have an autism diagnosis is required for some or all of the assignments.

Duties
- Participate in circle of care team collaborations.
- Provide direct support for assigned clients.
- Deliver clinical programming as directed by the care team.
- Provide written documentation as required for transparent support tasks.
- Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring under supervision
- Support clients with activities of daily living as required.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote social interaction skills, community interaction skills, and life skills as required.
- Maintain safety of client, self, and community.
- De-escalate with appropriate verbal and approved physical techniques.
- Maintain prompt submission of required files or documents.
Experience
- Knowledge of caregiving practices for individuals with disabilities including autism and FASD.
- Experience with medication administration, meal preparation.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Certification as a CYW or DSW or Degree/Dipl,oma in related/applicable field.
- CURRENT First Aid and CPR
- CURRENT CPI/NVCI/BMS/Safe Management Certificate
- CURRENT BRC or VSC
- Preferable: ASIST, Mental Health First Aid, Autism specializations
- IDEALLY: G license/Driver's Abstract/2,000,000 liability insurance

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $18.00-$24.50 per hour
