KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management & GIS, the Asset Management Coordinator provides asset management and technical support for the corporate asset management system that supports the City's strategic objectives. This position works closely with the Systems Analyst – Asset Management & GIS and the Geomatics Officer to provide a high caliber of customer service


QUALIFICATIONS


A post-secondary diploma in engineering, planning, construction, business, information technology, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in asset management or a related field.


The knowledge required to perform this position is normally acquired experience performing the following functions:



  • Asset management planning, data collection, and basic reporting

  • Working with enterprise work management systems and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

  • Supporting basic software configuration and system administration

  • Understanding fundamental database structures and data relationships

  • Developing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets using intermediate to advanced functions

  • Assisting in training sessions and facilitating discussions with diverse user groups

  • Manipulating, converting, and validating data using Microsoft Excel


SALARY


The City of Yellowknife offers a starting salary of $83,195.01 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package including monthly housing and vacation travel allowances, and a defined benefit pension plan.
