Become part of the Sales Team for four first-rate hotels in Niagara Falls including the Sheraton Fallsview, Marriott on the Falls, Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa and The Brock Niagara Falls – Fallsview, Tapestry by Hilton Collection, with remarkable guestrooms, meeting facilities, entertainment and dining options. Together we host the largest inventory of hotel meeting and event space in Niagara Falls featuring  200,000 square feet of event space, 50 versatile meeting rooms, 2,000 guestrooms and suites, and 6 unique venues that bring an extra touch of distinctiveness to meetings and events.

Location: Home Office located Toronto or Ottawa, or Sales Office located in Niagara Falls

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company's customer base and ensures its strong presence in the Provincial Association market.
  • Proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities by continued prospecting through telephone solicitations, personal presentations, site inspections, and via correspondence.
  • Develop new business, increase and maintain existing accounts.
  • Negotiate and close business to achieve and exceed all sales goals.
  • Explore marketing & tradeshow opportunities for your market and provide the Director of Sales with detailed benefits and cost of participation.
  • Exceed client's expectations.
  • Service accounts from initial contact to business booked and confirmed.
  • Up-sell groups/conventions whenever possible and cross-sell all Canadian Niagara Hotels properties.
  • Create and maintain current and future, accurate, client data base and profiles.
  • Represent the Company on sites, FAMs, sales trips and at designated trade shows, provide pre and post reports.
  • Attend and become active in industry associations in which membership is confirmed.
  • Maintain awareness of business, market and consumer trends, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need as an Account Director:

Experience: 5+ years related sales experience in a Hotel Environment

Education: College/University Degree in Hospitality/Tourism or related program is preferred

Other Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver professional presentations to existing and prospective clients
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts
  • Highly developed financial acumen, mathematical skills, high aptitude
  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Desire to be part of a winning Sales Team
  • Willingness and ability to travel for sales trade shows and sales trips for durations of up to 1 week if needed

Ability to Commute:

  • To Sales Office in Niagara Falls, Nationally and Internationally for Sales Calls and Events
