Warehouse Operations Lead
Our client is seeking a Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee daily warehouse activities and ensure efficient, accurate, and safe operations within a busy maintenance and facilities environment. This role is responsible for managing the full warehouse lifecycle and providing operational support to maintenance and facilities teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong warehouse operations experience, excellent organizational skills, proficiency with inventory systems, solid communication abilities, and a commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Oversee accurate receiving, inspection, documentation, and storage of materials and equipment
- Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and variance resolution
- Track inventory levels, analyze trends, and support forecasting to ensure availability and reduce excess stock
- Coordinate asset tracking, including lifecycles, warranties, replacements, and fleet maintenance scheduling
- Ensure the warehouse environment remains clean, organized, safe, and compliant with standards
- Provide operational support through timely order fulfillment, data accuracy, and maintaining tool inventory
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and ensure preventative maintenance is performed
- Respond to internal inquiries, resolve stock and shipment issues, and support cross‑functional logistics troubleshooting
- Collaborate closely with Procurement and Finance to align purchasing, replenishment, and cost controls
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management
- High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in logistics or supply chain is an asset
- Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment safely
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, and safety best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and inventory reporting tools
- Experience using Inventory Management Systems; familiarity with Yardi is an asset
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data interpretation skills
- Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing operational needs
- Commitment to accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain safe material‑handling practices
