Due to a promotion, they are seeking a Territory Sales Representative based in Winnipeg to manage and grow the business in the Manitoba and Saskatchewan markets.
Overview
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for achieving profitable sales growth across contractor, builder, and distribution channels. This role focuses on developing key accounts, generating project demand, and supporting specification and training initiatives that drive long-term adoption of engineered systems.
Territory Growth & Account Development
- Execute a territory market plan to achieve revenue and gross margin targets
- Develop and implement account plans for strategic contractor and distribution accounts
- Build relationships with owners, estimators, project managers, and technical decision-makers
- Identify and pursue opportunities in new construction and retrofit projects
- Maintain a structured pipeline and forecasting process using CRM tools
- Track market indicators such as construction activity, project developments, and regulatory changes
- Provide regular reporting and insights on account activity and project opportunities
Training & Technical Engagement
- Deliver product and application training to contractors, distributors, and design professionals
- Support field demonstrations, technical discussions, and solution presentations
- Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer education initiatives
Collaboration & Territory Operations
- Work closely with regional leadership, marketing, and technical teams to execute growth initiatives
- Support distributor engagement programs and joint sales efforts
- Manage territory budgets related to travel, promotions, and customer engagement
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in construction, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or building products
- Proven experience managing accounts and developing contractor or distributor relationships
- Strong communication, presentation, and planning skills
- The ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, or system applications is an asset
- Practical field or installation experience is considered beneficial
- Education in business, engineering, or a related field is a strong asset
