Qualifications
- Education: Trade Certification or College Diploma required
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse/retail operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory control, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management software; Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook), ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (valid certification preferred).
- Knowledge & Competencies: Strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety standards, and compliance regulations; excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 kg (40 lbs) and stand for extended periods; comfortable working in environments that may be dirty or hazardous, with proper PPE.
- Additional Assets: Previous experience in a dealership Parts Department is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the shipping and receiving team, ensuring productivity, adherence to company standards, and smooth daily operations.
- Fill operational gaps as needed to maintain workflow continuity. Provide hands‑on support to the shipping team when necessary.
- Train and mentor team members to maintain high performance and compliance with procedures.
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed; report any incidents to the Operations Manager and maintain a safe work environment.
- Investigate discrepancies related to parts, receiving, and invoices, support escalations, invoice variances, corrections, and overall inventory health.
- Manage inventory management activities, including cycle counts, returns, and physical inventory processes.
- Manage Returns (PARS) and ensure accurate part locations for new items.
- Coordinate shipping activities, working with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost‑effective deliveries.
- Collaborate with procurement team to address issues with received products.
- Maintain strong communication with branches and procurement teams, managing parts transfers to other branches efficiently.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
