This posting will be used to fill 1 permanent full-time positions working 75 bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.

This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon .

Your role
Income Support Services (ISS) is looking for a motivated, passionate individual to work as a supervisor of finance/administrative workers providing leadership related to financial processes s in a fast paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate needs to be collaborative, have sound conflict management skills and have knowledge of financial t practices in a social services context. Experience supervising is required, as is knowledge of the Income Support programs, including Social Assistance, Yukon Seniors Income Supplement, and Pioneer Utility Grant. This position reports to the Manager of ISS and works alongside two other supervisors in a very collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Essential qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related Human Services degree.
  • Experience supervising in a social service-related position, including the oversight of staff, financial and administrative processes, program operations, and monitoring/evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of person-centered and culturally appropriate services, preferably in the context of legislated services
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting and implementing legislation, regulations, and policies/procedures for equitable service delivery, preferably in the context of income support programs
