Adult and Teen Challenge Super Thrift is a vital part of the Adult & Teen Challenge organization, dedicated to providing financial support for life-changing programs that help people overcome life-controlling addictions through a faith-based approach. By supervising the Super Thrift location, you will directly contribute to the success of our mission.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to assist the Management in overseeing the daily operations of our Super Thrift store. The Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of staff and volunteers, managing inventory, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a well‑organized and appealing store environment. This role requires a blend of retail management skills, a heart for our mission, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people, including program participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise store staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Store Operations: Oversee all retail functions, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, security, and cleanliness.
- Customer Service: Ensure all customers, donors, and visitors receive courteous, friendly, and efficient service. Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Donation and Inventory Management: Assist management with the intake, sorting, pricing, and display of donated merchandise to maximize sales and maintain stock levels.
- Financial Oversight: Handle daily sales reporting, bank deposits.
- Compliance: Assist the management to ensure the store operates in compliance with all organizational policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Mission Integration: Serve as a positive role model and integrate the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge into daily store operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in a retail, thrift, or non‑profit setting.
- Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Attitude: Strong commitment to the mission and values of Adult & Teen Challenge. A positive, professional, and compassionate demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Technical: Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office/Google Workspace).
- Must be available all shifts (Days/Evenings/Weekends)
