YInnovate Collective is a campus-based initiative focused on reducing textile waste through innovative solutions such as clothing swaps, redistribution systems, and repair partnerships. Based in Waterloo, ON, we have already diverted over 450 garments from landfills, contributing to sustainable and affordable fashion for young adults. Our mission is to create a scalable model that makes eco-conscious fashion accessible to future generations.
Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid
volunteer
role located in Waterloo, ON, for a Social Media Coordinator. The candidate will create, manage, and publish engaging social media content (short videos) to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Additional responsibilities include strategically managing social media marketing campaigns, collaborating with the team to develop digital marketing strategies, tracking performance, and engaging with the online community. Strong communication and writing skills are essential to ensure high-quality content delivery that aligns with the organization's message and vision.
Qualifications
- A student of University of Waterloo or Wilfrid Laurier University or Conestoga College
- Demonstrated skills in Social Media Content Creation and Social Media Marketing
- Proficiency in Digital Marketing strategies and practices
- Strong Communication and Writing abilities
- Creative mindset with an eye for visual content
- Passion for sustainability and knowledge of circular fashion is an asset
