Senior Tax Manager

Direct Hire role at Permasearch, a TPI Company.

Base pay range

CA$135,000.00/yr - CA$140,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Supporting tax partners through the identification of tax planning opportunities and strategies in the firm’s varied client base.


• Preparation of step planning memorandums and technical reports for clients and partners alike.


• Assisting with the mentoring of other team members with respect to tax.


• Assisting with performing the review of personal and corporate tax returns and tax projects.

Qualifications

• CPA in-depth tax course or Master of Taxation degree would be an asset.


• Ideally a minimum of four years experience with at least two years specializing in tax.


• Extensive knowledge of personal, corporate, partnership and trust tax legislation and compliance requirements.


• Superior verbal and written communication skills are required.


• Knowledge of TaxPrep is required.


• Previous experience in corporate reorganizations, estate planning and various filings of tax elections (Section 85, CDA, etc.) is desirable.
