Senior Municipal Engineer

Moncton
office.

You're a collaborative and detail-oriented Civil Engineer who enjoys tackling complex infrastructure challenges and seeing projects come to life. You take initiative, communicate effectively, and thrive in a team environment where you can balance technical design with hands-on project delivery.
A typical day on the job might look like:
- Supporting all GEMTEC locations across Atlantic Canada, including travelling as needed.
- Preparing engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and tender documents.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective design solutions.
- Reviewing drawings and designs to ensure accuracy, compliance and constructability.
- Supporting construction administration activities, including site inspections and responding to contractor's inquiries.
- Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce and review detailed civil design plans.
- Communicating with clients, municipalities, and other stakeholders to keep projects on track and aligned with expectations.
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff as needed.
- Office-based design/project management with Site Visits to projects as required.

Your background and what you bring:
- Registered or eligible for registration with APEGNB.
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering from an accredited University.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering consulting, including municipal and infrastructure design.
- Proven experience in project management, including budget, schedule, and client coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for work related travel
