The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance leads the Quality Assurance team across multiple production facilities, ensuring all products are safe, effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements before release. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to uphold GMP standards, strengthen quality systems, and support operational excellence. Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)
Monday to Friday, Onsite/Hybrid – 1550 United Blvd, Coquitlam, BC (flexible as required)
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the Quality Assurance function across all regional production facilities, ensuring the Quality Management System is effective and consistently applied.
- Review and approve batch manufacturing, packaging, and quality control documentation prior to product release.
- Ensure in‑process testing is performed and documented in accordance with specifications.
- Develop and manage environmental monitoring programs, including pest control, temperature/humidity tracking, allergen testing, and air quality sampling.
- Lead Non-Conformance Investigations (NCI) and Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes, including analysis, approval, and trend reporting.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and identify systemic patterns to drive corrective strategies and process capability improvements.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of QA team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support new product launches and maintain product quality throughout the lifecycle.
- Work with customers, Operations, and Purchasing to resolve quality-related issues using problem‑solving and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliant quality procedures aligned with NNHPD, TGA, FDA (cGMP 21 CFR 111), CFIA, USP, and Organic certification requirements.
- Lead internal audits and ensure follow-up actions result in sustainable, risk‑based improvements.
- Promote adherence to Safety, cGMP, SOPs, and all company policies across QA operations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
You have:
- A Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in a scientific or related discipline.
- 7+ years of management experience in Quality operations within pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, or a related regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of quality and regulatory requirements (NNHPD, TGA, FDA, CFIA, cGMP, ISO).
- Proficiency with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, and CAPA.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive changes across multiple sites.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment while managing competing priorities.
