Due to rapid organizational growth, they are adding a Senior Financial Analyst, Reporting & FP&A to their team. This is a brand-new position designed for a technically sound accounting professional who excels at storytelling through data. This is a high-visibility role in a driven, high-energy environment, offering significant opportunities for personal and professional mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & MD&A

  • Prepare and manage quarterly and annual external stakeholder financial reporting, including MD&A and property packages.

  • Support the preparation and annual updates of Offering Memorandums.
  • Ensure all financial statements and note disclosures are presented accurately and in accordance with IFRS.

FP&A & Strategic Analysis

  • Collaborate with business units to manage quarterly re-forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly management reporting, providing deep-dive variance analysis and insights into operational KPIs.
  • Analyze revenue and expenses to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

Asset Management & Market Research

  • Conduct submarket research to provide recommendations on market rents, parking, and amenities to the Asset Management team.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance, Property Accounting, and Investments to streamline reporting workflows.

Leadership & Communication

  • Act as the "voice" of the data - gathering information across departments and translating technical findings into clear, written commentary for senior leadership.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by the executive team.

Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related technical discipline.
  • Designation: Canadian CPA designation (completed or actively in progress) is a must.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in Corporate FP&A, external reporting, or public accounting.
  • Industry Expertise: Previous experience in the Real Estate or Asset Management sector is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel modeling skills and the ability to construct professional PowerPoint presentations. Experience with Yardi is considered a significant asset.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; you must be comfortable presenting to and collaborating with all levels of the organization.
  • Mindset: A high sense of ownership, genuine curiosity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
