As a result of significant portfolio expansion, they are seeking a
Manager, Corporate Finance & Accounting
to join their Woodbridge team. This is a brand-new leadership role reporting directly to the Corporate Controller. You will lead a dedicated team of three corporate accountants, overseeing the full-cycle accounting, treasury, and tax compliance for a diverse group of operating and holding entities.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Manage all aspects of corporate finance responsibilities to ensure accuracy and compliance across multiple entities.
- Oversee full-cycle accounting, ensuring timely financial reporting for operating companies and holding companies.
- Maintain a "hands-on" approach to month-end workbooks, including balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, and forecasting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
Treasury, Tax & Audit
- Support treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and bank account administration.
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
- Coordinate with tax advisors and authorities to ensure timely completion of tax compliance (Income Tax and Sales Tax).
Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of three corporate accountants, providing consistent training and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages ingenuity and professional development.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial workflows and reduce manual tasks.
Requirements
- Education & Designation: University Degree in Accounting or Finance and a Canadian CPA Designation (Required).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or industry.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IFRS and accounting principles, including exposure to sales and income taxes.
- Systems Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience with Yardi Voyager is considered a significant asset.
- Leadership Style: Deeply rooted emotional intelligence with a humble, collaborative approach. You should be a self-starter who takes ownership of the complete accounting cycle.
- Communication: Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders under tight timelines.
