Job Description

Role Impact:

To provide dispatch communication to Security Guards regarding incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc., and log details of radio transmission, telephone calls and verbal instructions, and to direct back-up support as necessary and to provide indirect supervision of security officers.

What you will deliver:

Dispatch Security Guards to incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc.
Log details of radio transmission, telephone calls and verbal instructions
Direct back-up support as necessary
Inform management of major incidents
Maintain the Camera Surveillance System
Conduct radio/camera audits
Maintain key control, lost and found and emergency contact lists
Provide training and coaching on an ad-hoc basis
Perform other duties as assigned

What your strengths are:

A valid provincial Security License
A Security Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years experience with a security firm or similar background
A minimum of 2 years experience at retail and office mixed use complex
A working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act
The ability to function in a fast-paced environment
A strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, oral and written
Current CPR/First Aid certification (asset)
