Sage Intacct Optimization Consultant

Remote role with occasional on site presence (approximately 2 times per month, East Toronto)
$55-65/hour
Intro Paragraph:
We are hiring on behalf of our client as they continue to modernize and elevate their Finance function. This is a transformation focused role, not maintenance accounting. The organization is optimizing Sage Intacct, improving reporting visibility, and strengthening finance processes to support better operational decision making. They are seeking a consultant who can enhance system utilization, streamline workflows, and drive meaningful improvements across core finance operations.
Principal Tasks and Responsibilities Include:
- Assessing and optimizing key finance processes including Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report
- Mapping workflows and developing scalable, standardized procedures and documentation
- Leading optimization and automation initiatives within Sage Intacct
- Improving reporting accuracy, KPI tracking, dashboards, and financial visibility
- Enhancing receivables, invoicing, and journal entry workflows
- Supporting training initiatives to improve internal adoption and effective system usage

Qualifications and Pre-Requisites: - Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years progressive finance experience
- Direct experience supporting finance transformation or system optimization initiatives
- Strong understanding of core finance cycles (P2P, O2C, R2R)
- Hands on Sage Intacct experience is highly preferred
- Experience within non profit, public sector, or healthcare environments is an asset
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally
