Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian
• Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, such as blood tests, urinalysis, and radiographs
• Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after surgery
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and wound management
• Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, and general health of their pets
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Assist with surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and recovery
• Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, surgical areas, and laboratory equipment
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments and managing client communications when needed

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Veterinary Technology program
• Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT)
• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with animals and their owners
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
