Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and supporting a positive patient experience. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop digital radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations and prepare patients for procedures
- Support the dental team with sterilization, instrument setup, and maintaining infection control protocols
- Manage patient records accurately using Abledent software
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
- Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans, especially in orthodontics and pediatrics cases
- Ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for all patients
Experience
- Previous dental hygiene experience is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics advantageous
- Experience working in a dental office setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures is desirable
- Proficiency in Abledent or other dental practice management software is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance communication with diverse patient populations
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients
- Prior experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
