Position Overview
Are you passionate about using technology to make a real difference in your community? The City is looking for a creative and solutions focused permanent, full-time Recreation Systems Analyst to support important technology and business improvement projects within Community and Culture. In this role you will work with teams across the organization to understand their needs, improve systems, and find better ways of doing things especially with tools like the PerfectMind registration system. Your work will include research, meeting with staff and interest holders, helping lead projects, training others, and finding ways to improve how services are delivered. If you enjoy variety, working with people, solving problems, and making a positive impact, this role is for you.
The successful applicant must have the following qualifications:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Business, Sciences or Engineering.
- Three years' related experience in business operations with a focus on system operations, process management, data analysis, and vendors system feature implementation, ideally in local government or multi-department environments.
- Proficient in Intermediate Word and Excel as demonstrated through testing. (70% pass rate required)
For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position. This is a CUPE Local 900 position.
