We are currently looking for a Receiving Lead. You will be performing the following duties:

· Leadership & Team Direction

o Supervise, and mentor Receiving staff.

o Train team members on receiving procedures, safety practices, documentation, and equipment use.

o Oversee performance, provide coaching, and look for practical ways to make receiving processes smoother and more efficient.

o Maintain a safe, clean, and organized receiving area

· Receiving Operations

o Oversee safe, efficient unloading of trucks.

o Lead verification of incoming goods against POs and packing slips for quantity, condition, and accuracy.

o Co-ordinate the inspection of parts - especially custom‑fabricated and code parts against drawings/specifications and verification of required MTRs and certifications.

o Document and resolve discrepancies with suppliers, Purchasing, or carriers.

o Ensure all received items are correctly labeled, documented, and entered into the ERP.

o Maintain and review receiving logs, reports, and related documentation.

· Inventory & Material Flow

o Direct put‑away of materials using proper storage locations, FIFO methods, and warehouse layout standards.

o Support cycle counts and inventory audits.

o Assist in resolving part shortages or receiving‑related delays.

· Equipment & Facility

o Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.

o Ensure receiving equipment is maintained and safe.

o Enforce safe lifting, handling, and equipment‑operation practices.

· Vendor & Interdepartmental Communication

o Communicate proactively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding deliveries, backorders, and issues.

o Work with Purchasing to identify supply delays or quality concerns.

o Build strong working relationships to improve material flow.

Requirements

· 2–4 years of warehouse, receiving, or material handling experience.

· Previous lead‑hand or supervisory experience preferred.

· Strong understanding of receiving processes and warehouse best practices.

· Forklift experience; certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Good communication and computer skills (inventory systems, email, basic Excel).

· Willingness to periodically work outdoors in all weather conditions.
