The Property Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses for commercial properties.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform CAM (Common Area Maintenance) and Tax recovery calculations, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Utilize Yardi ERP to maintain property accounting records, generate reports, and analyze financial data.
- Assist with year-end audit processes, working closely with auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, lease agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with property managers, finance teams, and senior leadership to optimize financial performance

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of commercial property accounting experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Newstar (preferred) and Yardi required.
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAM & Tax recoveries.
- Experience in managing year-end accounting processes and audits.
- CPA designation (or in progress) is preferred but not required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
