The Team
Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the Globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leader to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of the project within the defined scope, budget, and timeline. The incumbent will lead project teams, coordinate cross-functional activities, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations. This role requires strategic leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to drive project success while mitigating risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
While this role is tied administratively to our Oakville, ON office, the position itself will be based on-site at the project location in the southwestern area of the Athabasca Basin, in Northern Saskatchewan on a rotating basis.
How you will contribute
- Develop and implement project execution plans, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
- Lead project teams in coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Manage project risks, identifying and mitigating potential issues that could impact schedule, cost, or quality.
- Monitor project performance against key milestones and deliverables, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee budget management, cost forecasting, and financial reporting to maintain project profitability.
- Facilitate communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and collaboration.
- Resolve conflicts and address challenges to maintain project momentum and team cohesion.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and project close-out procedures are executed efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Advanced degree in Engineering and professional engineering designation preferred; PMP certification is an asset.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project management for large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership position managing large cross-functional teams in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management, and contract administration.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost controls.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Thesalaryrange is $142,400- $175,300 CADannually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
