Job Description
We are seeking a Production Supervisor
for our food manufacturing client to oversee daily production operations and plant utilities in
Hamilton, ON
region.
Pay
- $100k-$120k
Shift
- 12-hour rotating shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and output targets
- Operate, monitor, and oversee boilers, refrigeration systems, compressors, and utilities in accordance with regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, CFIA, and food safety regulations
- Lead, coach, and support production operators and maintenance staff across shifts
- Monitor production KPIs including efficiency, downtime, waste, and labour utilization
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Engineering teams to resolve equipment or process issues
- Conduct shift handovers, incident reporting, and production documentation
- Enforce workplace health & safety policies and ensure a clean, safe production environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer certification (mandatory)
- 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Proven experience working with DCS / PLC-based control systems
- Strong knowledge of boilers, refrigeration systems, utilities, and pressure equipment
- Hands-on experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environments
- Solid understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working shifts, including nights or weekends if required
