Job Description
Hours of work:
- Schedule may include up to 2 evenings per week Tuesday afternoon 2-6pm and Thursday 9-6:30pm
- Part-time
What you will do:
- Fulfill routine medical office functions such as answering phones, contacting physicians and pharmacies, following through on referrals, filing, etc.
- Manage waiting room, including dealing with conflict and crisis in a manner that deescalates the situation and promotes positive outcomes
- Use electronic medical records to book appointments, update patient data, scan results, track prescriptions
- Perform Urine Drug Screen tests
- Maintain filing systems
What you need to have:
- Medical Reception education and/or minimum 2 years experience in medical office
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members in positive, empowering ways at all times and to deal effectively with conflict and crisis
- Proven ability to work in fast paced environment
- Strong multi-tasking skills with attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills
