Job Description

The Project Manager – Customer Success is the primary point of contact for customers following order release, responsible for managing all aspects of project execution for custom Air Handling Units (AHUs). This role ensures that each project meets the customer's technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quality expectations through proactive communication, precise documentation, and coordinated internal execution. The Project Manager - Customer Success serves as the liaison between the customer and the internal team, translating engineered requirements into actionable plans that drive successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main customer interface from order release through delivery, providing clear, consistent communication and timely project updates.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings with customers and internal teams to ensure alignment on specifications, scope, and timelines.
  • Manage all project documentation including submittals, approvals, revisions, and change orders, ensuring traceability and version control.
  • Track project schedules and proactively identify potential risks or delays, communicating solutions and adjustments to both the customer and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to coordinate material planning, production readiness, and delivery schedules.
  • Review and clarify customer specifications, design details, and performance requirements to confirm understanding and compliance.
  • Facilitate resolution of technical queries and coordinate responses with internal subject matter experts.
  • Prepare and distribute formal project correspondence — including progress reports, milestone updates, and shipment notices — throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support commercial management of projects, ensuring scope control and assisting with quoting and processing of change orders.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to promote satisfaction, repeat business, and a high level of professionalism representing the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • 3–7 years of project management experience in a custom manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment.
  • Strong customer communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to simplify technical information for a variety of audiences.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and manufacturing processes (experience in AHU manufacturing preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/project management systems; experience with CRM tools is an asset.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is beneficial.
