Operations Manager
Job Description
You know global operations. You get high-tech manufacturing and its complex supply chains. You understand contract manufacturers who need clear direction and real accountability. You've done it before, and you're comfortable owning performance end to end.
What you want now is scale. The chance to optimise globally, tighten systems, and raise standards across multiple partners. Not just keeping things ticking over, but building an operation that's sharper, faster, and built for growth.
This Operations Manager role gives you that remit. You'll join a leading, international, Smart Factory provider and take full responsibility for operational delivery, making sure customer and business needs are met every time. It's built for someone who wants ownership, international scope, and the authority to make things better.
Who's it for?
Our client is a global provider of Smart Factory and performance management software that helps manufacturers boost efficiency, increase OEE, and drive ongoing operational improvements. Their cloud-based platform is used in complex industrial environments, providing operations leaders with real-time visibility, scalable analytics, and measurable digital transformation results.
As the company continues to expand across EMEA, there is a growing need for a leader to oversee the supply chain for their battery-free sensors, managing the manufacturer relationship and coordinating shipping and delivery to customers.
What's in it for you?
You'd be joining a business that really cares about its people. If you're looking for career progression, you'll find it here – they always look to promote from within and there are truly unlimited opportunities for funded and supported career development.
They also have a collaborative culture where every voice is listened to, regardless of how long you've been there or how senior you are. They regularly meet for socials and team building, so you'll really feel part of something here.
What will your day to day look like?
You'll be responsible for managing and strengthening the supply chain to ensure it supports customer and business needs, remains resilient with outsourced manufacturing, and can scale effectively to meet growing demand as new deals materialise. An average day may look like:
- Leading the partnership with the contract manufacturing partner
- Supervising quality assurance and coordinating production activities
- Directing demand planning
- Optimising inventory levels
- Coordinating logistics to ensure timely sensor deliveries to customer locations
- Managing import/export compliance and customs processes
This role will suit you if you…
- Have 5+ years' experience in Supply Chain or Operations
- Have worked in in a high-tech or electronics manufacturing environment
- Know how to operate on an international scale
- Can hold Contract Manufacturers accountable
- Can forecast demand
