Manager, Event Management and customer service- FOH team

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. This role involves engaging with guests and clients to ensure their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a background in hospitality or restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in customer relations, upselling, negotiation, and organizational management within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and clients warmly, providing excellent guest services in person or over the phone
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive experience
  • Promote products or services through upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Assist with reservations, bookings, and scheduling in accordance with company policies
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate service delivery and maintain high standards of hospitality
  • Manage time effectively to handle multiple customer interactions efficiently
  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback
  • Support marketing efforts by engaging customers and promoting special offers or events
  • Negotiate solutions that satisfy both the customer's needs and business objectives

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support a team of Event Coordinators (coaching, scheduling, workflows, standards).
  • Oversee event planning and execution: client communications, site visits, event timelines, budgets, and on-site leadership.
  • Ensure accurate event documentation (event orders, floor plans, staffing/service bookings, run-of-show planning).
  • Coordinate with internal departments and venue service partners (security/first aid, cleaning, AV, rigging, food & beverage).
  • Act as the primary escalation point during planning and live events, solving problems quickly and calmly.
  • Own department office operations: templates, trackers, reporting, shared inbox workflow, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years in event planning/event management (venue/hospitality/live events is a strong asset).
  • Experience leading a team or mentoring/coordinating others.
  • Strong client service mindset with excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple events, shifting priorities, and firm deadlines.
  • Strong admin/process skills—able to build structure, improve workflows, and keep details tight.
  • Post-secondary education in event management/hospitality/business preferred (or equivalent experience).

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
