The Opportunity:


Reporting to the Director, Salesforce & MuleSoft Platforms, the MuleSoft Lead Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise‑grade integrations that power Sentrex’s Patient Support Programs (PSPs) and Clinic Solutions services. This role ensures that MuleSoft APIs are secure, scalable, and aligned with Sentrex’s technology architecture and compliance standards.


The MuleSoft Lead Developer works closely with developers, analysts, Salesforce teams, QA, and operational stakeholders to deliver high‑quality integration solutions across the organization. The role includes technical mentorship for junior developers, but no formal people‑leadership responsibilities.


A Day in the Life (What you will do here):


Integration Design & Development



  • Lead the design and development of MuleSoft APIs, integrations, system flows, and data transformations.

  • Implement API‑led connectivity using best practices for reusable, modular, and scalable integration assets.

  • Translate business and technical requirements into high‑quality MuleSoft solutions.

  • Ensure all integrations comply with Canadian healthcare privacy and security requirements.


API Management & Governance



  • Build, manage, and optimize APIs within Anypoint Platform.

  • Maintain RAML specifications, API policies, security models, and gateway configurations.

  • Contribute to Sentrex’s enterprise architecture standards of API design patterns and integration frameworks.


Platform Enhancements & Continuous Improvement



  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, code reviews, and release management.

  • Identify opportunities for performance tuning, simplification, and reusability.

  • Improve monitoring, alerting, and operational resiliency of integrations.

  • Work closely with Salesforce development teams to build secure, reliable integrations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure stable and accurate data exchange across the enterprise ecosystem.

  • Support troubleshooting and defect resolution involving third‑party systems and internal applications.


Quality, Operations & Reliability



  • Ensure integrations are built with strong logging, error handling, and supportability.

  • Resolve Tier 2 production support tickets

  • Contribute to SLAs related to integration reliability, data accuracy, and platform uptime.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior MuleSoft developers.

  • Assist in building internal knowledge, coding standards, and best practices.

  • Collaborate effectively across technical and business teams to deliver cohesive solutions.


What you need to ensure you are set up for success:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands‑on MuleSoft development experience, including API design, integrations, flows, and connectors.

  • Experience working in a healthcare or pharmaceutical vertical is an asset

  • Strong understanding of API‑led architecture, integration patterns, and enterprise integration best practices.

  • Experience with RAML, DataWeave, Mule 4, CI/CD pipelines, and Anypoint Platform components.

  • Experience working with DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Azure DevOps

  • Experience integrating with Salesforce or other CRM/ERP platforms is an asset.

  • Strong understanding of security standards (OAuth, JWT, TLS, etc.).

  • Experience working in Agile environments with structured release practices.

  • MuleSoft certifications (MCD, MCA, Architect) are an asset.

  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with evolving requirements.

  • The anticipated base salary hiring range for this role is 100K to 110K annually. The final base salary will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
