Work Setting
- On site — work must be completed at the physical location. Remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
- Assist in preparing engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Support the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
- Perform a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses on machines, components, and materials
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop and modify drawings
- Design tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures
- Prepare and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Estimate materials and project costs
- Assist in preparing contracts, tenders, standards, and schedules
- Supervise and monitor maintenance programs and mechanical plant operations
- Inspect and test machines and mechanical equipment
