As a Maintenance Manager at Regency Retirement Resorts, you are a member of a highly energetic team, responsible for the general upkeep of the building, grounds and equipment in accordance with priorities set forth by the General Manager.
Salary Range: $53,000-$56,000
Duties And Responsibilities
Maintains a level of conduct, personal grooming and appearance that meets the standards of the Resort.
Ensures that the building be kept in good repair. Performs minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and painting maintenance following the policies and procedures outlined.
Establishes and maintains a documented Preventative Maintenance Program for all facility equipment.
Establishes and manages a painting program to keep the building up to Regency Standards.
Participates in Management Team meetings as required.
Maintains an inventory of building and suite furniture and attachments.
Ensures grounds are well kept. (i.e. keep all entrances and walkways clean and free of ice during winter. All walks swept clean and free of debris year round. All outdoor mats and patio furniture to be kept clean during the summer months.)
Performs monthly fire inspections and conducts drills quarterly.
Assists in the set up and take down of furniture and decorations for special events.
Responds to emergency calls in a timely responsible manner, troubleshooting by phone as much as possible.
Protects the assets of the Resort.
Develops, implements, controls and evaluates departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and ensures that the required standards are maintained.
Develops the departmental budget in conjunction with the General Manager. Maintains monthly and yearly budget controls.
Develops, implements, and evaluates documentation and reporting systems to maintain records and communication for the department.
Works toward creating a team environment within the facility through positive interactions with other departments and staff.
Maintains confidentiality of all resident and organizational information and displays an attitude that shows respect and maintains the spirit, dignity and individuality of the Residents.
Communicates any information to the department supervisor that may assist in maintaining the Resident's health, safety and happiness.
Familiarizes and adheres to all organizational policies and procedures.
Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with Residents. Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers.
Assists in the orientation process of new employees.
Qualifications
Performs other related duties and multi-tasking functions as assigned.
Education and Experience
Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
WHMIS
Skills And Abilities
Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Able to plan and organize maintenance service. Computer literate.
