We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a long-term care team. Reporting to the Director of Care, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality, patient-centered care to residents and supporting their overall well-being
Key Responsibilities:
Provide planned, patient-oriented, and goal-directed nursing care in accordance with provincial standards
Work collaboratively as part of an inter-professional team using a person-centered care approach
Complete and maintain accurate clinical assessments, care plans, and documentation
Monitor and evaluate care plans, making adjustments as needed
Administer medications and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards and policies
Support resident care conferences and participate as required
Assist with resident admissions, transfers, and discharges
Ensure all care provided meets established quality and safety standards
Qualifications:
Practical Nurse Diploma
Current registration and membership in good standing within the applicable province
Experience in senior care or long-term care preferred
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentorship abilities
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
Schedule:
Night shifts: 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
Rotation: 3 days on, 3 days off, 4 days on, 4 days off
38.5 hours per week (11 paid hours per shift)
Compensation:
$41.35 per hour
Potential relocation bonus up to $10,000 (where applicable)
Duration:
1 month contract with possibility of extension
