Maintenance Helper – Contract Role (6 Months)

Pay: $20.70/hour — Paid Weekly

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (First Shift, Minimal Overtime)

Join a dedicated maintenance team supporting plant operations during the final phase of production. As a Maintenance Helper, you’ll work hands-on each day assisting with machinery breakdown, general upkeep, and equipment support tasks. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude who enjoys physical, fast-paced work and contributing to overall safety and efficiency.

• Support skilled maintenance technicians with equipment teardown, basic repairs, and general maintenance tasks
• Maintain clean and safe work areas by sweeping, mopping, and removing scrap or debris
• Prepare tools, parts, and materials for daily maintenance needs
• Perform routine tasks such as lubricating equipment, changing filters, and replacing bulbs
• Assist with equipment installation, disassembly, and reassembly
• Operate forklifts to move materials (if certified)
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
• Help identify and report safety hazards
• Keep equipment, tools, and workspaces clean and organized
• Assist with documenting maintenance activities

• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand/power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16"
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, industrial environment

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or facilities work
• Forklift certification (preferred or required depending on assignment)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to high-quality work

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trenton, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Trenton,NJ.
