Overview

SRC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor landscapes, ensuring the health and beauty of gardens, lawns, and other green spaces. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, We are for people with or are wanting to learn the ways of the landscaping skills to create inviting and well-maintained outdoor areas. It is not a must but we would like people to have a DL . We also look for people who can or are willing to learn how to drive a truck and trainer .

Responsibilities

• Planting, watering, fertilizing, and mulching garden beds to promote healthy growth
• Pruning shrubs, trees, and flowers to maintain aesthetic appeal and plant health
• Operating hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes for various landscaping tasks
• Using power tools including lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters safely and effectively
• Performing landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, weeding, and lawn mowing
• Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
• Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate action
• Assisting with seasonal clean-up activities and planting new greenery as needed
• Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized

Skills

• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for landscaping tasks
• Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticultural principles
• Experience with gardening techniques including planting, pruning, and fertilizing
• Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and maintenance
• Strong understanding of plant care, soil types, and pest management
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Good physical stamina to perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols during equipment operation

This position is ideal for individuals passionate about gardening and landscape maintenance who enjoy working outdoors. It is not a deal breaker if you don't have much experience , We have no issues training people to get them up to our standards in our multiple landscaping sites that will help you to contribute effectively to our team's success.

We also have a sister Company called Capital City Snow Removal .

We can train you on plow and salting throughout the winter , This is a secondary company with much greater pay due to late hours with high responsibility's .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 80 per week
