IT Technician – POS Installation & Field Support

We are currently looking for a skilled IT Technician with POS installation and refresh experience to support our growing field operations.
Key Responsibilities
on-site
• Perform POS installation, POS refresh, and POS replacement projects in retail and enterprise environments
• Install and configure POS hardware, including terminals, receipt printers, scanners, cash drawers, and payment devices
• Conduct POS refresh projects (hardware upgrades, replacements, and system migrations)
• Provide on-site, IT support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and applications
• Support network connectivity for POS and store systems
• Perform IMAC services (Install, Move, Add, Change) for enterprise clients
• Assist with network device installation (routers, switches, access points)
• Maintain proper documentation of service tickets and project updates
• Follow SLA timelines and service standards during field assignments
Required Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or related field
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the IT field support or technician role
• Hands-on experience with POS installation, POS refresh, or retail technology deployment

• Strong knowledge of
- Desktop hardware troubleshooting
- Windows OS installation and configuration
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, routers, switches)
• Ability to travel to client sites
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience with retail POS systems (NCR, Toshiba, Oracle, Micros, Square, etc.)
• Knowledge of structured cabling (Cat6 / Cat6A)
• Experience with enterprise rollouts and site deployments
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft are an advantage
