Title: IT/OT Project Specialist
Location: Downtown Toronto
Hybrid: 3 days onsite
Duration: 6 months
The IT/OT Project Specialist collaborates with internal business units to translate functional business needs into actionable requirements for IT and OT systems. As a business enabler and service provider, the IT Specialist identifies effective business solutions to support organizational goals and recommends IT/OT solutions and process improvements that enhance efficiency and align with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop business cases for new solutions by analyzing current processes, identifying issues or opportunities, evaluating options to achieve desired outcomes, performing cost-benefit and financial analyses, and providing actionable recommendations.
- Identify and analyze business needs, gather requirements, and define scope and objectives for assigned IT/OT initiatives.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and communication through presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, ensuring clarity, relevance, and appropriate frequency.
- Collaborate with IT portfolio, security, and infrastructure teams to manage non-standard IT requests within an established governance framework.
- Support financial planning and management for IT/OT systems within the capital portfolio.
- Create and maintain documentation and procedures to ensure effective IT systems and processes.
- Assist with regulatory or compliance-related documentation and analysis, participating in relevant meetings and workshops.
- Coordinate and oversee records management programs, providing guidance and support to records coordinators and departmental representatives.
- Perform operational routines associated with the position.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma (University or College)
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in IT project management, IT governance, or IT strategic planning
- Strong knowledge and experience in identifying business solutions to meet organizational goals
- Experience in internal and/or external consulting, preferably in customer-focused or service-oriented environments
- Proficiency in applying IT/OT solutions to work management and business processes
- Strategic and analytical thinking

- Results-oriented, accountable, and focused on understanding the problem before implementing solutions
- Ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration with stakeholders and colleagues
