Credit Analyst – Vancouver, BC


RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) is seeking a Credit Analyst to join the PH&N Credit Team in Vancouver. In this role you will conduct credit research, generate trade ideas, monitor portfolios, and support corporate bond trade allocations.


Responsibilities



  • Perform fixed‑income credit analysis independently and with team members to assess key credit risks and overall creditworthiness, providing inputs for investment decisions.

  • Collaborate daily with the PH&N Credit Team, participating in formal periodic meetings and frequent informal discussions as market conditions and corporate fundamentals change.

  • Monitor individual credits and sectors to identify changes in exposures and recommend adjustments within credit portfolios or broader portfolio cohorts.

  • Assist with corporate bond trade allocations to maintain consistency across portfolios and cohorts.

  • Work within a high‑performing, diverse, multi‑disciplinary Fixed Income Team.


Must Have Qualifications



  • Highly analytical thinking and strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Preference for working in a dynamic team environment.

  • Ability to manage concurrent tasks and activities that evolve with market conditions.

  • Capability to make decisions under limited time and information constraints.

  • A natural curiosity about capital markets and investing.


Nice to Have Qualifications



  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field that provides a strong analytical foundation.

  • CFA Charter holder or strong desire and demonstrated aptitude to pursue the CFA designation.

  • Experience in the investment industry.

Salary


Expected salary range: $67,000 – $110,000, depending on experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. Position may be eligible for a discretionary/variable incentive payment.
