Industrial Electrician
Job Description
Join a technologically advanced manufacturing environment where your electrical expertise will directly impact automation reliability, production efficiency, and overall plant performance. This role offers hands‑on involvement with PLC systems, robotics, and automated production equipment, allowing you to play a key role in minimizing downtime and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, automation, and control systems within a manufacturing environment
- Diagnosing faults in PLC-controlled systems and robotic equipment
- Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on automated production lines
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
- Installing, programming, and modifying PLC systems and HMI interfaces
- Supporting robotic troubleshooting, recovery, and minor programming adjustments
- Assisting with new equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Collaborating with maintenance millwrights, engineers, and production teams
- Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation within CMMS
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and electrical code standards
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment
- Strong PLC troubleshooting experience (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)
- Experience with robotic troubleshooting and production automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Strong knowledge of industrial controls, drives, sensors, and instrumentation
- Commitment to workplace safety and electrical compliance standards
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with robotic system
- Experience with VFDs, servo systems, and motion control
- PLC programming and modification experience
- Experience working within a unionized environment
Salary Range:
$48/hr + overtime
